I’m sure you have on many occasions turned on your television late at night and saw some infomercials or advertisements of certain exercise equipment that is supposed to target SPECIFIC areas of your body and get rid of fat. The promises you hear on TV are absolutely false. DON’T TRUST THEM! There is no such thing as spot fat removal, period. The only way to lose fat is by doing good cardio and proper nutrition. That means you can’t eat cheeseburgers every day, or eat your deep fried chicken from KFC!
Why do so many people buy exercise equipment that promise to target “problem” areas?? They are just wasting their money. When you eat a lot of unhealthy food, can you tell your body where to stuff the fat? I don’t think so. So what makes you think you can tell your body where to get rid of the fat first? Your body will decide on its own where it will reduce your fat as you exercise – its that simple. A bit of good cardio that elevates your heart rate for about 40 minutes a day will get you fit – no machinery necessary. If you wish to exercise indoors, you may do so but remember – NO machine will TARGET certain areas. There’s no point in buying machinery that will “get rid of your love handles” or your “man boobs”, these promises are just false and never work. If you really wish to spend some money, then buy a nutritional guide, maybe a software package to keep track of your calories or even a workout guide that puts you through a system of workouts – not an expensive machine that will do NOTHING for you. As for quick weight loss, you can lose weight fast if you are determined, this doesn’t mean that it will happen instantly but it all depends on your effort and persistence, especially when it comes to nutrition. The sooner you realize that there are no shortcuts in life, the sooner you will be on your way to a healthy, positive, happy you.
